This is a cool project I and my buddy Justin Wheeler worked on trust me he is super smart and cool. He gave me a shoutout on his company blog so here’s the blowback. Ok maybe I was already my mentor but had amnesia, cause I just built this and remembered I built more websites as a kid.

Azure Resume Challenge
I believe man directs his life by what he pays attention to and in continuous learning. I am a Mechanical Engineer with a high interest in Cloud computing. I entered the Azure resume challenge thanks to my mentor Justin Wheeler.
Overview:
For the backend, we used Node.js for the visitors counter function deployed on Azure Functions. The visitor data was stored in Azure Cosmos DB using a SQL interface. On the frontend we used standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript deployed to Azure Blob storage frontend by Azure CDN.
DNS routing and registration was handled by AWS Route53 since Azure is not a DNS registrar and I am familiar with Route53 already. We added a CNAME record that mapped the domain name to the Azure CDN instance. Finally, I enabled HTTPS for custom domain names on Azure CDN.
Thanks for reading! Feel free to check out the code used. I would love to connect with you on Linkedin.
